It's a Hardback Life

This is a tough one- I'm not a huge fan of first-person narration, so I rarely love any of them.  It's especially tough as the first book to come to mind is by Anne Rice, and I'm just about fed up with her (as a social media presence) right now. However, I also can't bring myself to give up the books that were a formative reading experience for me, and still occupy a large part of my reading heart. I loved Louis, even in all of his melodramatic sadness, and I still do.
