It's a Hardback Life

Just started reading this in earnest last night, and today is Virginia Woolf's birthday. Funny how these things happen.

I'm not a fan of journal/epistolary novels, but this is really very engaging. I keep having to remind myself that it is fiction and that Virginia Woolf might not have been so infuriating in real life (though I doubt it- she's pretty well known for being a difficult genius).
