It's a Hardback Life

Raising Dion is a comic book by video director Dennis Liu that tells the story of a black single mother raising a son with superpowers. The first issue is free on his website, or $4 print-on-demand through Indyplanet.com. I just downloaded the first issue and it looks fabulous! All proceeds from print purchases go towards funding the next issue. And Liu made a cinematic trailer for the book that is equally awesome.
